1500W portable floodlight for mast and cart
About 225,000 lm in a head that needs a mast rated 80 kg. The long throw option, and the one that replaces a tower rather than supplementing it.

This is a two person lift and a mast job. The head is over a metre long, so it also needs a mount that can hold it at the bracket, not a clamp on the middle of the housing.
Long throw, not wide flood
225,000 lm at 10 degrees reaches a sign face or a bridge deck from the ground. At 90 degrees the same head lights a broad area and the intensity at the far edge falls away. Beam choice changes the result more than the wattage does.
That is why this head is specified by the surface it has to light, not by the area. A long approach road wants the narrow beam; a compound wants the wide one.
- Throw distance from the mast position to the surface.
- Whether the beam will spill into a road, a window or a neighbouring site.
- The mast rating: 80 kg at 3.8 to 4.0 m, with ballast on soft ground.
Power on this size
1500 W at 230 V draws about 6.5 A. A standard 16 A site supply runs it, a 2.2 kW generator runs it with room to spare, and a battery station runs it for about an hour per 2,000 Wh.
That last figure is why this head is usually on a generator or a mains supply. Battery power at this wattage is for short bursts, not a shift.
Floodlight or balloon at this output
At the same output, a balloon lights a working area evenly with no glare and a floodlight puts a defined beam on a target. Paving, patching and emergency scenes want the balloon. A sign, a tower, a bridge soffit or a long approach want the beam.
Many sites buy one of each and share the mast and the generator. It is cheaper than two complete towers and covers both jobs.
- Whether the job needs a soft area or a defined beam.
- Whether the mast, generator and cable can be shared with an existing tower.
- A spare head or a second unit for work that cannot stop.
Before the order
- Mount: 80 kg rated mast at 3.8 or 4.0 m, two person lift.
- Supply: about 6.5 A at 230 V, generator or mains rather than battery.
- Beam: choose by surface distance, then check the spill.
